Scorpus enterprise software asset management(ESAM) product constitution is based on a premise that Software delivery is more than just development of code and that Service-oriented architecture (SOA) is more than just web-services — it's about the various artifacts and assets that are interrelated to make an application or a service work in accordance to the business and architectural needs. Each of these artifacts and assets are articulated progressively in various stages of their life cycles, including development, deployment, usage, and governance. It is important that they all must be equally governed to maintain integrity of the asset and its alignment to the business.

Scorpus ESAM product leverages existing tools and technology available at customer to create reusable software assets at the sources and make the assets available across the organization for direct consumption or variation. The asset creation, delivery, and maintenance lifecycle is governed by ‘Scorpus ESAM’ to reduce rework, redundancy, and knowledge recovery time. ‘Scorpus ESAM’ provides the customers with the flexibility to seek reusable assets within the organization and then assess the impact of change to the asset on the existing enterprise system, this provides customers the capability to identify common and redundant assets, and the flexibility points in the existing applications.
